Job Title: Bio-Medical Engineer

Job Summary

* We are looking to engage a Biomedical Engineer on a retainership basis to provide technical support as needed.
* This role is ideal for a qualified professional with hands-on experience working with aesthetic and dermatological equipment who can deliver high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

* Provide timely, on-call support for troubleshooting and resolving faults or performance issues with aesthetic equipment.
* Ensure minimal disruption to clinic operations through quick diagnosis and corrective action.

Preventive Maintenance and Calibration:
* Conduct periodic preventive maintenance and calibration on machines such as CO2 lasers, diode lasers, RF systems, IPL, HIFU, microneedling devices, hydrafacial systems, and skin analyzers, based on manufacturer recommendations and clinic schedules.

Repairs and Spare Part Management:
* Identify faulty components, recommend appropriate repairs or replacements, and liaise with OEMs or vendors for genuine parts procurement. Oversee or directly carry out technical repairs as needed.

Installation and Setup Support:
* Assist with the technical evaluation, installation, and setup of new devices, ensuring proper configuration, safety checks, and documentation before clinical use.

Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of service activities including diagnostics, maintenance logs, repairs, part replacements, and performance checks. Provide reports to clinic management after each engagement.

Compliance and Safety Checks:
* Ensure all equipment complies with applicable safety standards, clinical protocols, and local regulatory guidelines (such as NAFDAC or SON). Flag and advise on any risks associated with faulty or outdated equipment.

Training and User Support:
* When needed, conduct brief training or refresher sessions for clinical staff on equipment handling, care, and basic troubleshooting.
* Help ensure the clinical team operates devices within safe and effective parameters.

Technology Advisory:
* Provide expert technical input when the clinic is evaluating or procuring new equipment.
* Offer advice on brand performance, maintenance expectations, and operational compatibility with existing infrastructure.


Requirements

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
* At least 3 years of experience working with clinical or aesthetic equipment, preferably in a dermatology or cosmetic environment.
* Familiarity with brands such as Alma, Cutera, Cynosure, Lutronic, Bison, EndyMed, or Hydrafacial is a strong advantage.
* Proven experience in equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and vendor engagement.
* Strong understanding of clinical safety standards, documentation, and regulatory compliance in Nigeria.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
* Ability to respond to technical needs within agreed timelines.


Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
