Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic
Location: Gujeni, Kaduna


Job Summary

* We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy machinery used in mining operations.
* The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience in troubleshooting and servicing hydraulic systems, engines, and mechanical components of mining equipment.


Responsibilities

* Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy-duty mining equipment
* Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems
* Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency
* Work with engine systems, transmissions, suspensions, and braking systems of mining machinery
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations during equipment servicing
* Document all maintenance records and report issues promptly
* Collaborate with engineers and operators to optimize machine performance
* Train and assist junior mechanics when necessary


Requirements

* 5 - 15 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance within mining or industrial settings
* Strong expertise in hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and mechanical repairs
* Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical failures efficiently
* Familiarity with mining equipment brands and repair techniques
* Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in industrial settings
* Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
