Job Title: Chemist Trainee

Job Summary

* We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist Trainee to join our mining operations in Kaduna.
* This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and safety-focused industrial laboratory.
* The successful candidate will support chemical analysis, process monitoring, and quality control related to mineral extraction and processing.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist in conducting chemical and physical analysis of mineral samples and raw materials.
* Prepare reagents and standard solutions as directed by the senior chemist.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
* Collect and prepare samples from mining sites in accordance with set procedures.
* Record, interpret, and report test results accurately and timely.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
* Support research and development activities to improve product quality and process efficiency.
* Assist in maintaining inventory of chemicals and laboratory supplies.
* Participate in training programs and continuous learning initiatives.


Qualifications and Requirements

* B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field (Minimum 2:2 or Upper Credit).
* 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
* Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and chemical analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work in a mining and industrial environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
