We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant
Location: Ketu Ikosi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time


Job Descriptions

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, especially in production and logistics.
Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Maintain compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Monitor and analyze inventory costs, stock levels, and wastage.
Work closely with production and procurement to ensure cost-effective operations.
Implement costing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.
Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Manage banking relationships, payment processing, and cash forecasting.
Establish and enforce strong internal controls and audit trails.
Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Provide financial insights for strategic decisions (e.g., expansion, pricing, new product lines).
Support management in long-term business planning and investment decisions.
Contribute to procurement and pricing strategies, especially for raw materials and imported items.
Supervise junior finance staff and accountants.
Train and mentor the finance team to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Foster collaboration between finance, operations, sales, and production departments.


Job Requirements

* B.Sc / MSc in Accounting, or related field
* 3 years experience in the field preferably manufacturing industry
* Professional certified (ICAN), (ACCA)
* Filing of corporate tax returns.
* Experience in providing financial advice.
* Experience in Financial Auditing
* Knowledge of SAGE, QuickBooks and other accounting software
* Detail Oriented and good analytical skills
* Diligent and honest.
