Job Title: Cake Decorator
Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time


Job Summary

They are looking for passionate cake decorators to join the team. Candidates are required to be residents of Gbagada and environs.


Responsibilities

Cake Assembly & Decoration:
* Assemble and layer cakes according to design requirements.
* Apply smooth crumb coats and final coats using FONDANT, buttercream and whipped cream
* Decorate cakes with piping, textures, toppers, and themed designs.

Design Execution:
* Interpret customer briefs, design sketches, or reference images accurately.

Finishing & Presentation:
* Ensure all cakes are finished with a clean, polished look.
* Double-check design accuracy including spelling, color schemes, and placement.

Collaboration with Bakers:
* Communicate with bakers regarding cake structure, layers, and flavors.
* Provide occasional assistance with basic baking or prep tasks when needed.

Quality Control:
* Inspect completed cakes for visual appeal and quality before delivery or pickup.
* Report any issues promptly to the supervisor.

Cleanliness & Organization:
* Maintain a clean and organized decorating station throughout the shift.
* Properly clean and store tools, equipment, and surfaces after use.

Stock & Inventory Management:
* Monitor stock levels for decorating supplies and tools.
* Report low inventory or damaged items for timely restocking.
* Reporting & Documentation


Qualifications & Skills

* Proven experience in cake decorating (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of buttercream, fondant, and piping techniques.
* Creativity and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Team player with good communication skills.
