Job Title: Senior Accountant (Strategic Finance Lead)
Location: Lagos (Alternates between Mainland & Victoria Island)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and strategic Head Accountant to lead nationwide financial operations.
This is not a back-office role; we need a finance leader who will take charge, set standards, and guide the company financially.


Key Responsibilities
Fraud Prevention, Compliance & Internal Controls:

* Design and enforce robust financial controls and procedures
* Implement internal rules and risk management frameworks to prevent fraud
* Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations


Audit Readiness & Accurate Reporting:

* Maintain clean, well-structured books using correct Chart of Accounts coding
* Ensure all postings are audit-ready and backed by documentation
* Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly & year-end financial statements
* Provide auditors with clear schedules, reconciliations, and supporting evidence


Financial Oversight & Strategic Guidance:

* Lead cash flow management, inter-branch fund tracking, and liquidity planning
* Manage all tax remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.) with zero errors
* Support strategic financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring
* Provide business insight through quarterly management reports


Day-to-Day Accounting & Staff Supervision:

* Oversee accurate general ledger posting across branches
* Review payroll processing, staff deductions, and approvals
* Maintain Fixed Asset Register and depreciation schedules
* Manage trade creditors, debtors, and inventory reconciliations (local & foreign)
* Supervise and train junior accountants, and enforce accountability


Requirements

* BSc / HND in Accounting; ICAN/ACCA required
* 7 - 10 years progressive experience (minimum 4 years in senior roles)
* Proven track record of leading audits and implementing internal controls
* Strong expertise in bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax compliance
* Excellent command of accounting software and Excel
* High personal integrity, strong leadership, and analytical thinking
* Must be proactive, bold in communication, and comfortable advising management


Salary
N750,000 Monthly.
