Aquabay Resources Limited is a fast-growing innovation-driven company providing smart solutions across engineering, technology, and business consulting. We're looking for a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic team.


Role Summary:

As our Accountant, you will oversee daily financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the company’s financial strategy. You’ll play a key role in managing budgets, payroll, and accurate financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Handle accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
Oversee monthly payroll scheduling and salary disbursement for all staff
Ensure compliance with statutory payments and filings (FIRS, PENCOM, ITF, NSITF, etc.)
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements
Support audits and liaise with external auditors
Advise management on financial risks and opportunities
Implement and maintain accounting systems and internal controls


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, etc.) is an advantage
Minimum of 2–4 years proven experience in a similar role
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books) and MS Excel
Strong organizational and communication skills
Integrity, discretion, and a detail-oriented mindset
