To operate and maintain the bottle blowing machine to ensure timely production of high-quality PET bottles used for water packaging, while adhering to safety, hygiene, and production standards.

Job Responsibilities:

* Operate the bottle blowing machine efficiently to produce PET bottles in various sizes (e.g., 500ml, 750ml, 1.5L, etc.).
* Monitor machine parameters and adjust settings as needed to ensure proper shaping, thickness, and strength of bottles.
* Conduct pre-startup checks and ensure the availability of raw materials like PET preforms, compressed air, and molds.
* Inspect blown bottles for defects such as cracks, irregular shapes, or uneven finishes, and separate rejected items.
* Lubricate and clean machines regularly to maintain optimal performance and reduce downtime.
* Report any mechanical or operational issues to the maintenance team promptly.
* Maintain accurate production records, including the quantity of bottles produced and any faults encountered.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), health and safety guidelines, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.
* Assist in mold changes when switching between bottle sizes.
* Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the blowing area to meet hygiene standards required for food-grade packaging.

Requirements

SSCE/WAEC/NECO or equivalent minimum.


* Technical certification or vocational training in machine operation or mechanical maintenance is an added advantage.
* 1–2 years’ experience operating a bottle blowing machine or similar production equipment, preferably in a beverage, water, or plastics manufacturing company.
* Good understanding of PET bottle production and blowing processes.
* Ability to troubleshoot minor machine faults.
* Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pneumatic systems.
* Attention to detail and quality control.
* Basic record-keeping and reporting skills.
* Knowledge of workplace safety and hygiene standards.
* Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to work shifts or extended hours if required.
