Responsibilities:

* Assist in planning and conducting swimming lessons and training programs in accordance with approved guidelines.
* Supervise swimmers to ensure safety and adherence to pool rules and regulations.
* Support the development of swimmers' technique, stamina, and performance in line with their abilities.
* Provide encouragement, feedback, and individual support to help swimmers improve and remain motivated.
* Assist in maintaining records of attendance, progress, and training outcomes.
* Ensure proper use and care of pool equipment and training aids.
* Promote health and safety awareness and respond effectively to emergencies as trained.
* Collaborate with the coaching team to deliver cohesive and high-quality swimming instruction.
* Support the organization and execution of swim meets, competitions, or events.
* Perform lifeguard duties when necessary and ensure first-aid protocols are followed.

Requirements:

* National Diploma (OND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics, Health Education, Physical Education, or a related field preferred.
* Certified Swim Teaching Qualification.
* Certified Lifeguarding Qualification.
* Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in swim instruction or coaching.
* Competitive swimming experience is desirable.
* Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude, patience, and the ability to encourage and motivate learners.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow coaching programs and instructions.
* Strong awareness and commitment to health and safety practices in aquatic environments.
