The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade(Dr)Nasir Idris has condoled with the Emir of Zuru, Major-General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo ll and the people of the emirate over the death of Alhaji ALIYU Muhammadu Sani, a prominent Prince of the Zuru.

Idris said he received with rude shock and sadness, the death of Prince Aliyu, whom he described as an elder statesman that had selflessly served the country with clearly exhibited enviable patriotic disposition.

The Governor regretted that Alhaji Aliyu died at a time when the Kebbi state government, under his leadership, recognised the value of bureaucrats of his calibre and involved them at advisory level in governance and stressed that “i have benefited from their elderly advice and professional guidance “
In a condolence message signed by the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy Abdullahi Idris Sadaukin Zuru,
Kauran Gwandu noted that the loss of such great people was severely painful but urged the Emir, the family and the people of the emirate to be consoled by the remarkable impact the deceased made in the development of the country, particularly his exemplary conduct that made Kebbi state a pride of many Nigerians.

He prayed to Allah to grant Alhaji Aliyu eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Alhaji Aliyu Muhammadu Sani, popularly called Aliyu DANSARKI, was one of the sons of the late Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Dantudu Gomo. He died in Birnin Kebbi at the age of 95.
He served the Nigerian Government with late Aliyu Yelwa (Sardaunan Yauri), Late Alhaji Yahaya Maigari Besse, and late Alhaji Ibrahim Tahir (Talban Bauchi) as contemporaries.

At the national level, he served at the Nigerian Cotton Board, and the state level served as Commissioner for Code of Conduct in the old Sokoto state and later Kebbi state in the same capacity before his retirement from active public service.

Late Zuru Prince was survived by two wives, nine children and grand children.
