LAFIA: As consultation and insinuation of who succeeds Governor Abdullahi Sule, in 2027 has started gathered momentum within the State’s chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC) in the state, Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State on Wednesday cleared the air that he has not anointed any candidate that will succeed him in 2027.

The governor debunked the insinuation through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs (SSA) Mr. Peter Ahemba during a press conference held in Lafia the state capital.

Mr. Peter Ahemba, said that the governor had viewed the activities of some desperate politicians who are parading themselves as government candidate as distractive; adding that the governor has debunked the insinuation in it entirety and governor has not anoint any candidate that will succeeds him in 2027.

According to SSA, “The governor still has more than two years to deliver on his mandate to the people of Nasarawa State, and he has no anointed candidate. The government wants to categorically deny the claims that the governor has anointed successor

“This claims are entirely false and are without merit. The governor has not made any pronouncement or any action indicating his prefer candidate that will succeed him.

He also added that the choice of who becomes the next governor of Nasarawa State will be determine through the democratic process.

Speaking on the ongoing State’s Secretariat project at the Shanda road, the SSA said that the project had reached hundred percent completion; adding that an arrangement has been concluded for the inauguration of the project by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu next month.

The Senior Special Assistant to the governor on public affairs further informed that the governor had recently announced award of another contract of flying-over in Keffi Local Government Areas of the state which will be cited in popular filling station area in order enhance economic activities of the area.
