The mother of Katsina State Governor, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, Hajiya Safare Umaru Barebari, has passed away.

Family sources confirmed that she died in the early hours of Sunday following a brief illness.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, one of the sources described her as “a pillar of support and a mother to all, whose kindness and wisdom will be deeply missed.”


Another relative added, “She lived a life of humility and generosity, always ensuring that everyone around her felt cared for.”

Hajiya Safare was also the mother of Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, the Village Head of Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, the former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.

Details regarding her funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
