Nigerdock has reached a significant safety milestone, recording 17 million safe man-hours. Safe man-hours are a period during which there is no lost time injury (LTI) in a company’s operation.

The Chief Executive Officer of Nigerdock, Maher Jarmakani, described the achievement as a testament to the company’s adherence to global safety standards and sustainable business practices.

Jarmakani emphasised that the milestone reflects Nigerdock’s commitment to workplace safety and strict compliance with best practices in its daily operations.
He hailed the company’s managerial and operational teams as well as its partners and subcontractors for their unwavering dedication to implementing world-class safety standards. He highlighted the company’s focus on operational safety, environmental sustainability, health, security and emergency preparedness.

According to Jarmakani, LTI serves as a key performance indicator (KPI) for Nigerdock’s compliance with industry best practices. He added that it is a benchmark used to evaluate safety and environmental performance by measuring job-related injuries that result in lost work time.

Nigerdock’s General Manager of Operations, Simon Husband, noted that maintaining a safe workplace is a collective effort. He expressed gratitude for the continued vigilance of employees in preventing injuries and ensuring uninterrupted operations.

“Our mantra, ‘No one gets hurt at work,’ represents our shared commitment to a safe and secure work environment that consistently meets international safety standards,” he stated.
