The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has criticised Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church over his prophecy that Governor Ademola Adeleke will secure re-election in 2026.
The party dismissed Ayodele’s prediction as biased and politically motivated.

The controversy arose after Primate Ayodele made the declaration during an empowerment programme in Lagos.

The APC, through its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, issued a press statement on Saturday condemning Ayodele’s prophecy.
The party accused the cleric of being a political prophet whose past predictions had failed to materialise.

“It is unfortunate that a supposed man of God has chosen to dabble in partisan politics,” Olabisi stated. “His claims are nothing but an attempt to curry favour from the current administration for selfish gains.”

Osun APC dismissed Ayodele’s remarks, questioning why the cleric had failed to predict the recent loss of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the Court of Appeal in Akure.

“If he is truly a prophet, why didn’t he foresee that ruling against the PDP?” Olabisi asked.

The party further accused Ayodele of commercialising prophecies, stating that his frequent visits to political figures suggested ulterior motives.

“A true man of God does not go from house to house selling predictions,” APC added.

The party vowed not to remain silent while Ayodele allegedly misled the public.
