A suspected bandit, Abubakar Ibrahim, has been arrested in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State for allegedly shooting his wife with a locally made rifle.

According to a post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Thursday, the arrest was made in the early hours of July 2 after the police received reliable information.

Ibrahim, who lives in Daffo District of Bokkos LGA, was caught with the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting.

Initial reports show that on June 22, 2025, Ibrahim shot his wife, Hadiza Abubakar, who is now receiving medical treatment at Dung Hospital in Bokkos.

“Police sources say Ibrahim is currently being questioned as investigations continue into the incident and any possible connection to other crimes in the area,” the post read
