Operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) led by ASP Julius Robinson have arrested four suspected cultists on Yoruba Street, Sapele town, in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.

The police also recovered one Beretta pistol with three rounds of live ammunition from the suspects.

The suspects include Rasheed Atanda ‘m’ (31 yrs), Charles Oyowe ‘m’ (36 yrs), Rewane Ogbitse ‘m’ (49 yrs), and Shedrack Oloko ‘m’ (44 yrs).

They were arrested on 29/06/2025, DAILY POST can report.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement sent to our correspondent in Warri.

The police image maker said, “On 29/06/2025, operatives of the CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT) led by ASP Julius Robinson, acting on credible intelligence, stormed Yoruba Street of Sapele town and arrested one Rasheed Atanda ‘m’ 31 yrs, a native of Irinle community in Kwara State, resident in Sapele town.”

According to SP Edafe, “Preliminary investigation further led the operatives to arrest other suspects, including: Charles Oyowe ‘m’ 36 yrs, native of Obeda, Warri North LGA of Delta State, in whose possession a Beretta pistol with three (3) rounds of live ammunition was recovered; Rewane Ogbitse ‘m’ 49 yrs, native of Jakpa, Warri South LGA of Delta State; and Shedrack Oloko ‘m’ 44 yrs, native of Ethiope East LGA of Delta State.”

He also stated that, “All the suspects confessed to being members of the EYE confraternity.”
