The Presidng Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Sam Alo, has called on Nigerians of all faiths to use the Eid-el-Kabir festival for sober reflection and to recommit to the unity and progress of the nation.

Alo made this appeal in a message to commemorate the festival, according to a statement released by his Personal Assistant, Deji Ogunbusuyi, on Sunday.

He described Eid-el-Kabir as a season of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and gratitude, and emphasized its relevance to the broader goals of peace and nation-building.

“This is a time for us to look beyond our differences and focus on what unites us as Nigerians—our shared aspirations for security, prosperity, and good governance.

“As we celebrate, let us renew our faith not just in our religious convictions, but in our capacity as Nigerians to overcome challenges and build a better future for generations to come, he said.

The cleric felicitated with Muslims nationwide, acknowledging the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir as one that calls for charity, sacrifice, and communal responsibility.

He also called for moderation in this year’s celebrations, urging Muslims to be considerate of the economic difficulties confronting many families.

“Let us balance our festivities with empathy and kindness towards those less fortunate. The true essence of Sallah lies not in lavish celebrations, but in acts of compassion, generosity, and unity,” he added.

Reflecting on the nation’s challenges, Alo acknowledged the pressing issues of inflation, insecurity, and unemployment but expressed confidence in the resilience and potential of the Nigerian people.

“In the face of adversity, Nigerians have consistently shown remarkable resilience, innovation, and faith in our collective destiny,” he said.

He highlighted the country’s youthful population, cultural diversity, and natural resources as assets that can be harnessed to build a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.

“Our diversity, often viewed as a point of division, is in fact one of our greatest strengths when managed with wisdom. The energy of our youth, the insight of our elders, and our shared values across ethnic and religious lines are essential to our national transformation,” he added.
