The Head of School at Abraham Lincoln American Academy, Mrs Jessica McAllister, has urged Nigerian parents to be intentional in equipping their children with educational knowledge and moral values.

McAllister noted that children usually reflect the activities they are consciously and unconsciously exposed to by their parents.

She made this known while speaking to journalists at the graduation ceremony of the pupils, held on the school premises on Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday.

“No matter where and how you train your children, anything you do is training for them. Children are products of what their parents expose them to,” she said.

The school manager emphasised the significance of parents and teachers in influencing the young ones to make better life choices.

“There’s no neutrality. It is either they move forward or backwards,” McAllister reiterated.

Also speaking, the president of the school, Emmanuella Imansuangbon, said the graduates had been trained for a greater future.

“Named after Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest past presidents of the United States, we inculcate and instil values of greatness in our pupils in this school,” Imansuangbon stated.

The school graduated 24 pupils who moved from pre-kindergarten to kindergarten, and from kindergarten to Grade 1.
