The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party in the November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election, Paul Chukwuma, has congratulated the people of the state on this year’s Easter celebration, describing the season as a sacred period of reflection, renewal and collective hope.

Chukwuma, in his Easter message on Sunday, drew attention to the symbolism of Jesus’s resurrection, which, according to him, represents the triumph of light over darkness, resilience over despair, and the promise of a new dawn.

The YPP governorship candidate urged Ndi Anambra to draw strength from the season’s message and remain united in pursuit of a more just, peaceful, and prosperous society, even in the face of daunting challenges, as Easter signifies that darkness is temporal because light ultimately prevails.

He reiterated his commitment to dismantling entrenched policies and systems that have, for years, impeded the economic advancement of the state, emphasising that his administration would be marked by bold reforms tailored toward stimulating local enterprise, attracting investment, and expanding economic opportunities across all strata of society.

He said, “Under my leadership, Anambra’s interests would be vigorously defended and strategically represented at the federal level, ensuring that Anambra secures its rightful place in the national agenda.”

Chukwuma, who is the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, Burundi, outlined his plans to tackle the prevailing insecurity in the state, adding, “a secure environment is the bedrock of sustainable development.”

“We will institutionalise policies that enhance business development, thereby generating meaningful employment, particularly for the youth, who are the drivers of innovative growth.

“As Ndi-Anambra marks this holy season, I wish everyone a joyful, blessed, and safe Easter celebration.”
