Nigerians behind CBEX Scam finally Exposed!

CBEX's promoters were eager to gain people's trust in their scheme. One way they did this was by sponsoring events, like a school sports competition. On February 10, they sponsored the inter-house sports competition at MAXFEM International Schools in Alagbado, Lagos.

The school's proprietor, Mr. Olufemi Stephen Oguntola, said he didn't know much about CBEX until a friend introduced him to a promoter named Temitayo Oklet. This friend had connected them, and Oguntola agreed to let CBEX sponsor the Yellow House for N400,000. The promoter paid the money through Oguntola's friend.

Oguntola said he didn't know Temitayo well and only met him on the day of the competition. After that, Temitayo stopped responding to Oguntola's calls. When Oguntola heard about problems with CBEX, he tried calling Temitayo several times, but he didn't answer.

Oguntola admitted that he didn't research CBEX before accepting the sponsorship deal. He trusted his friend, who had also invested in the scheme and lost about $10,000. Oguntola said he accepted the offer because of his friend's connection, and he didn't think twice about it.
