The National Universities Commission has approved management programmes for the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State.

A professor of Accounting, John Ihendinaihu, and a former Dean of the College of Management Sciences, Chika Ishionwu, described the approval as a historic milestone in the university’s pursuit of academic excellence and capacity-building in economics and the management field.

They commended the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Maduebubisi Iwe, and the South-East representative on the Governing Board of the North East Development Commission for their efforts in securing the programme’s approval.
