Degree Level
University of Melbourne Australia Human Rights Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters, MRes, PhD level programs at University of Melbourne.

Benefits
Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive package that covers both academic and living costs:

* Living Allowance: AUD $43,500 per year (pro rata for part-time), indexed annually
* Full Tuition Fee Offset: Up to 2 years for Master's, up to 4 years for Doctorate
* Relocation Grant: AUD $2,000 for interstate students or AUD $3,000 for international students
* Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Single membership for student visa holders

Eligible Nationalities
Open to applicants of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:

* Be applying for or admitted to a Master by Research or PhD program at the University of Melbourne
* Conduct research specifically in the field of human rights
* Be committed to human rights advocacy, as evidenced by academic, voluntary, or professional work
* Not have completed a similar level research qualification before
* Not have previously received a graduate research scholarship from the University

Selection Process
Applicants are assessed based on:

* Academic performance and research potential
* Depth of commitment to human rights causes beyond academia
* Quality of personal statement outlining the proposed research’s relevance to human rights
* Strength of supporting documents, including references and previous achievements
