Degree Level
Université de Montréal (UdeM) Canada Exemption Scholarship for International Students 2025-2026 is available to undertake Bachelor, Masters, PhD level programs at Universite de Montreal.

The UdeM Exemption Scholarship provides partial or complete exemptions from international tuition fees. This program is designed to attract the best international talent and promote diversity within the university’s academic community.

Extended for Winter 2025 to Winter 2026
The exemption scholarship is valid for the following terms:

* Winter 2025
* Summer 2025
* Fall 2025
* Winter 2026

Undergraduate Programs (Bachelor’s Degree)
Scholarship levels are based on academic merit from your admission transcripts:

Level A

* Amount per credit: $458.02 CAD
* Amount per session (15 credits): $6,870.30 CAD
* Amount per year (30 credits): $13,740.60 CAD

Level B

* Amount per credit: $218.28 CAD
* Amount per session (15 credits): $3,274.20 CAD
* Amount per year (30 credits): $6,548.40 CAD

Note: The scholarship is directly deducted from your tuition fees.

Master’s Programs (Graduate Level)

Research-Based Programs
* Amount per credit: $336.66 CAD
* Amount per session (15 credits): $5,050.00 CAD
* Amount per year (3 sessions): $15,150.00 CAD
* Non-Research Programs
* Amount per credit: $239.75 CAD
* Amount per session (15 credits): $3,596.25 CAD
* Amount per year (3 sessions): $10,788.75 CAD

Note: Writing and correction sessions are charged at Quebec student rates.

PhD Programs (Doctoral Level)

* Doctoral Students
* Amount per credit: $509.08 CAD
* Amount per session (15 credits): $7,636.20 CAD
* Amount per year (3 sessions): $22,908.60 CAD
Note: PhD students pay the same tuition fees as Quebec residents.


Eligible Nationalities
Open to applicants of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship, you must:

* Be an international student (excluding French and French-speaking Belgian nationals).
* Have received an offer of admission to a degree program (not a certificate, minor, or short-term program).
* Hold valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for the entire duration of your program.
* Be enrolled full-time at UdeM throughout your program.
* Not be receiving any other tuition exemption.
* Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in cancellation of the scholarship.

1. Apply for Admission
* Check program-specific deadlines.
* Meet the admission requirements.
* Apply online to your chosen program.

2. Receive Admission Offer
* After applying, track your admission status via Centre étudiant.
* You will be automatically evaluated for the UdeM exemption scholarship—no separate application is required.
3. Scholarship Award Notification
* Once admitted, UdeM will email you the scholarship award notice including your exemption level and amount.
* Save the document—it is required for immigration and registration purposes.
